What you will - and won't - find in this attraction
Step inside the foreboding facade of the Hollywood Tower Hotel, a once-glamorous and now-abandoned hotel with a haunted past. As you enter the dimly lit lobby, you'll immediately feel a sense of unease and anticipation.
During the pre-show, you'll enter your very own episode of the classic show, The Twilight Zone. You'll learn the history of the Hollywood Tower Hotel and a strange and tragic event that changed the lives of five people along with the fortunes of the hotel.
As the eerie story unfolds, you'll join a group of unsuspecting hotel guests who are about to experience the wrath of the Twilight Zone. Board the haunted elevator, and be prepared for a series of unexpected and hair-raising encounters.
As the elevator ascends, you'll catch glimpses of the ghostly occurrences and unsettling events that have plagued the hotel. The tension builds, and just when you think you're safe, it's time for the exhilarating drop sequence.
Plummet down the Tower of Terror in a thrilling freefall, as the elevator car hurtles up and down unpredictably. The sensation of weightlessness combined with the suspenseful storyline creates an unforgettable experience.
The Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror is not just a drop tower attraction—it's a fully immersive journey into the unknown. The attention to detail, atmospheric lighting, and haunting music all contribute to the eerie atmosphere, making you feel like you've stepped into another dimension.
Please note that the Tower of Terror is an intense attraction with sudden drops, darkness, and special effects that may be too intense for young children or individuals who are sensitive to thrilling experiences. It's best to consider the comfort level and preferences of each member of your party before deciding to embark on this chilling adventure.
One of the most impressive features of the attraction is that it uses multiple drop sequences and chooses at random, so you never know quite what to expect.
Some of the elements guests may find too intense include:
Cast Member Interactions: The cast members at the Tower of Terror portray bellhops from the hotel. Since it's a haunted hotel, their mannerisms and demeanor are playfully ghoulish, creepy, and mischievous. They frequently make macabre jokes and tease guests. At the same time, they are generally good at reading the room and avoid making the experience too scary for young children.
Height and Drops: The attraction features multiple sudden drops from significant heights, creating a sensation of weightlessness and exhilaration. These drops can be intense for individuals who are afraid of heights or have a fear of freefall experiences.
Darkness and Atmospheric Effects: The ride takes place in dimly lit environments with moments of complete darkness. Combined with special effects such as lightning flashes, eerie sounds, and ghostly apparitions, this creates a spooky and suspenseful atmosphere that may be unsettling for some guests, especially those who are sensitive to dark or haunted-themed experiences.
Sudden and Unpredictable Movements: The elevator car moves in unexpected and thrilling ways, with sudden ascents and descents. The element of surprise and the unpredictable nature of the movements can be intense for individuals who prefer more predictable or milder attractions.
